Description
Congratulations! You won!
You now have two months of extra time freed up for you to do what’s on your heart, plus have excellent services!
If we want what the world has, we should live the way that the world says to live. If we want what God says we can have, we should live the way that the Word says to live!
W.E.I.R.D. – It’s time to be weird and live out the life God has for us! In order for us to do that, we need to understand who God has created us and how He desires and has equipped us to live.
IDEA: Run this series in October and November, so that the Intentional Families podcast is teaching the parents how to make these truths real at home!
The Intentional Families podcast equips parents to be spiritual leaders in their homes.
Don’t give away what the letters means in W.E.I.R.D.!!!
Unveil one letter a week starting in the second week. Build up the anticipation of discovering each letter week by week and encourage them to try and guess what it could be but they have to come back next week to find out each one!
This series in is a similar look to a book series many elementary kids read- “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”. Our kids around us LOVE it and so it sparked an idea! Have fun with it and read the narrations with enthusiasm and inflection!
Ideas:
- Create a W.E.I.R.D. Series book on stage – The bigger the better! You’ll be doing this series for two months, so you’ll be able to use anything you create for eight weeks! Or create little weird booklets for the kids to take notes in!!! Give away tickets if they turn their booklet in the last week!!!
- Make “wimpy” characters of your volunteers to put in the Keynote- they would LOVE this!!!
- Also, change whatever you can to be W.E.I.R.D.!!! That could be changing the way you check-in, seat the kids, hang out times, or whatever!
Series Topics:
Week 1: What the world thinks is “Normal” and what the world thinks is “Weird”
Week 2: Discover the letter “R”- Righteousness- we have been made it
Week 3: Discover the letter “I” – In – in Him, in His Word, in unity

Kids will love to buy the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books while in this series – We searched bulk book places, but Amazon still beat their prices, unless you were ordering 100+ books. So, here’s the link to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Book 1 on Amazon:
Lastly, the whole thing began when we started reading Craig Groeschel’s book, WEIRD. It’s a fantastic book, and really will help you look at life differently, and potentially challenge you in some areas! I can’t say enough – you should get this book!
